Agape Church was founded by survivors of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. We understand the struggles our Veterans and First Responders face, because we’ve lived them.

Our Story

Agape Heroes was created by Sergio Saenz, founder of Agape Church. His military experience stemming from 2 years of collective service in Afghanistan as an active duty Air Force Combat Communications Engineer left him riddled with diagnosed Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. After trying pharmaceuticals for over 7 years to treat severe depression, anxiety & other ailments, Sergio started his search for other alternatives. In his quest to become well, he discovered the effectiveness of overcoming PTSD through the ceremonial use of Ayahuasca, attended his first retreat in 2019 and never took another prescription drug again. Moving forward, Sergio offers his testimonial and continues to support veterans through facilitation, integration, and now hosts retreats specifically designed for veterans and first responders in an effort to support his brethren.

What is Agape Heroes?

Agape Heroes is a specialized program of Agape Church, offering support & sacred ceremonies for Veterans & First Responders to commune in a safe space alongside those who understand their struggle. We raise funds to offer sponsorships and discounts for Veterans & First Responders to attend Ayahuasca, Psilocybin & Bufo Alvarius Spiritual Retreats & Ceremonies.

Regardless of your experience with Sacred Earth Medicines, Agape Heroes can support the preparation, navigation and integration needs of our Veterans & First Responders. Our team collectively has over 40 years experience in holding sacred space, integration & plant medicine.
